Laura Lee Roderick of Oil City, and Brent (Buddy) Blake Jr., also of Oil City, are engaged to be married. The wedding will take place on June 9 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robbie Roderick of Haydentown and Brenda Roderick of Smithfield.
She is a 2002 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and a 2006 graduate of Seton Hill University with a degree in history and education certification. She is a teacher at North Clarion Elementary School.
Her fiance is the son of Brent and Nancy Blake of Edison Street, Uniontown.
He is a 2001 graduate of Geibel Catholic High School and a 2003 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in electrical engineering technologies. He is an engineer at Joy Mining Machinery in Franklin.
