The Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club has named Kim Zavage as its November girl of the month. A student at Carmichaels Area Senior High School, Zavage is a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), PULSE, the academic league, the debate team, chorus, concert choir and the drama club.
She has received the academic scholar and the superior scholar award from the National Honor Roll and is a member of Westinghouse Science Honors Institute.
She also is involved in the St. Hugh Youth Group and volunteers as a Bible School helper, altar server, organist and cantor as well as a volunteer at Southwest Regional Hospital.
The daughter of Mike and Joan Zavage of Carmichaels, she plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh as a pre-pharmacy student with the goal to attain a doctor of pharmacy degree.
