David A. “Huck” Hugland

David A. “Huck” Hugland, age 61, of Grindstone, Pa., went to be with the angels on Saturday, January 20, 2007, surrounded by his loving family by his side at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He fought long and courageously for 41/2 months waiting a heart transplant. He was born on April 4, 1945, in Brownsville, Pa., the Son of William Hugland and Eunice George Hugland.

David was predeceased by his Wife of 16 years, Glady Hugland, Brother, Rollo Hurlbut, Sister, Eunice May Derbaum, and Parents.

He is survived by his loving Daughter, Billy Jo Cable and her Husband, Bill, and two Grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Kayla Marie and Joshua David, all of Virginia; three Sisters: Patty Barrett, Elizabeth, Pa., Mary Baer, Grindstone, Pa., and Melissa Balog, Avon, Ohio; a Brother, Oscar Hugland, Perryopolis, Pa.; several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 24, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Visitation was also held Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
