Veronica E. Stanislaw Gamon
Veronica E. Stanislaw Gamon, age 80, of Cardale, Pa., passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born July 31, 1926, in Buffington, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of John E. Stanislaw and Rose Anna Glover Stanislaw.
Veronica was a member of the Church of the Madonna, Cardale, and The Confraternity of Christian Mothers and was also an avid bowler in the church bowling league.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Gamon in 2003, sisters, Anna Edgell and Helen Staron, brothers, Joe, Mike and Frank Stanislaw, and her parents. Veronica was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are daughters: Gloria Fraley and her husband, Richard, of Willoughby, Ohio, and Valerie Pelehac and her husband, Mark, of Republic, Pa.; grandchildren: Traci Lyle of Ohio, Teri Fraley of New Jersey, Jeffrey Pelehac, United States Air Force, Colorado, Gina Pelehac and Angela Pelehac both of Republic, Pa.; and a nephew whom she raised, Frank Stanislaw of Ohio.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 19 LEGION STREET, REPUBLIC, Pa., on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, January 26, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Madonna, Cardale, with the Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Cardale, Pa.
A Parish Wake Service will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
