Sarah Mae Evon
Sarah Mae Evon, 85, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Monday, January 22, 2007. She was born July 16, 1921, in Punxsutawney, Pa., Sarah was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Raymond Bruno.
Sarah was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and the Senior Citizens both of Perryopolis.
Sarah is survived by five sons: Michael F. Evon of Middletown, Pa, Steve A. Evon, Sr. and wife, Linda Kay of Elco, Pa., Joseph L. Evon of Smock, Pa, John M. Evon and wife, Sandra of Star Junction, Pa, and Timothy J. Evon and friend, Melissa Adams of Star Junction, Pa.; Sarah was also the proud grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of seven. Sarah also is survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda McElfresh of Whitsett, Pa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Evon, two brothers, Frank and Rickie Bruno, and three sisters, Katherine, Anna Rose and Billie.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with the Rev. Father John T. Euker as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in the Saint John’s Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pa.
