Joseph “Joby” Ferdinand Andria, 82, of Smithfield, Pa., died, Saturday, January 20, 2007, in Washington County Health Center, Washington, Pa. He was born November 1, 1924, in Smithfield, Pa., son of the late Ernest Andria and Lena Zambotti Andria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kerry Joe Andria, brothers, Donald Andria and Arthur Andria.

Joby was a United States Navy World War II veteran.

He was employed until retirement with the Ferro Corporation in Bedford, Ohio and after retirement was employed part time at the Fairchance Shop N Save.

He was also a member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Smithfield, Pa.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Elaine Frantz Sisler Andria; his stepchildren, Alan Sisler and wife Nancy of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, Sharon Sleighter and husband Mark of Uniontown, Pa., and Ronald Lynn Sisler and Jessica of California, Pa.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no public visitation and private immediate family services will be held under the direction of the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Steve Courson Humane Society of Fayette County 477 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401.
