James Franklin Dobbins

James Franklin Dobbins, 82, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Sunday, January 28, 2007, at his home. He was born April 3, 1924, in Fredericktown, Pa.

He was a coal miner and was employed at Robeana Mine, from where he retired in 1982.

He was a veteran of United States Navy and served his country in World War II.

Mr. Dobbins was a lifetime member of the Star Junction Fish and Game Club. He was also a member of the AMVETS 103 of Hopwood and the Hutchinson Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Carol E. Dean Dobbins; three sons, Donald Crum of Uledi, Pa., Ronald Crum and his wife Lorraine of Uniontown, Pa., and Keith Walls and his wife Lynnette of Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren, Amanda Crum of Uledi, Marine Sergeant Ronald Crum of Arkansas, Beth Crum, Keith Walls Jr., and Kaleb Walls, all of Uniontown; the special brothers-in-law, Ronald Dean and his wife Marilyn of Dillsburg, Pa., and J.D. Dean and his wife Margaret of Lowber; several nieces and nephews, especially Jerry Dean and his wife Rhonda of Connellsville; and their dearest and wonderful neighbor, Faith Fearer.

There will be no public viewing or services.
