Floyd A. “Eagle” Carey Sr.
Floyd A. “Eagle” Carey Sr., 81, of Brownfield, Pa., passed away Monday, January 29, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born January 1, 1926, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late Raphael and Catherine Maryla Carey.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Theresa Janosick Carey and these brothers and sisters, Charles Carey, Rose Swaney, Ann Kefover, Carmella Sechler, Frances Lee King and Marie Gismondi.
Surviving are five children, Gloria Murray and James Ingraham of Brownfield, Kathy Ferrell and husband Charles of Smithfield, Pa., Ann Morgan and husband James of Hammond, Louisiana, Floyd A. Carey Jr. and wife Cindy of Markleysburg, Pa., Geri Carrigan and husband Cliff of Brownfield, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Carey of Augusta, Georgia.
He was a veteran of World War II and was a charter member of Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 11 a.m. the hour of service with the Rev. Martin Stewart and Rev. Elmer Hull officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount View Memorial Park, Brownfield.
