Man cited

Jeffery David Kennedy, 35, of Uniontown was cited for public drunkenness following an incident on East Fayette Street early Friday morning, city police said.

According to police, officers were dispatched at 2:18 a.m. when a woman reported a man laying on the sidewalk near Uniontown Area High School.

Police said the man, identified as Kennedy, was allegedly sleeping on the sidewalk and had his shorts pulled down exposing himself. Police said Kennedy was intoxicated, noting that officers woke Kennedy up and took him to his 569 Johnston Ave. residence.

Kennedy was sent the citation by summons, police said.

Items stolen

State police said several items were stolen from a car belonging to Joshua James Gibbs, 22, of Smithfield. Police said the car had been parked at a Morgantown Road residence when the alleged incident occurred, noting that the theft was reported at 9:50 a.m. Thursday. Police said tires, speakers and amplifiers valued at $1,300 were stolen. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the state police barracks in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.

Fairchance

One injured

State police said Gary L. Kay, 28, of Fairchance suffered minor injuries when vehicles driven by Kay and Toni Zooner, 43, of Smithfield collided at the intersection of Route 857 and West Elm Street at 10:48 a.m. Friday. Police said three other passengers in Zooner’s vehicle were not injured.

Property damaged

Marvin Hendrix of Brownsville was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged property belonging to Michelle Romain of Brownsville at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, state police said, noting that the incident occurred at Hunters Ridge apartments.

One flown

State police said Randy Cole of Brownsville suffered severe injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after being involved in a one-vehicle car crash on Route 166 early Sunday. Police said the vehicle Cole was driving, a 1998 Lincoln, overturned after leaving the left side of the road.

Margaret McCann of Brownsville told police an unidentified white female stole her purse Sunday, state police reported.

State police said an unidentified white female allegedly stole several items from the Dollar General store on Roberts Road at 2:17 p.m. June 26.

Incident investigated

City police said a vehicle fire that occurred in the area of Connellsville Street around 4 a.m. Friday is under investigation. Police said the vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, belonged to Mary Jordan of Uniontown.

Hit-and-run

James Nuccetelli of Uniontown told city police he was driving north on Mill Street around 5 p.m. Friday when a white female driving a black vehicle crashed into his car and fled the scene, city police reported. Police said Nuccetelli’s vehicle sustained damage to the left door, fender and window.

Dog injured

City police said Michael Cross of Uniontown reported his dog had been stabbed or shot at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Cross, according to police, said the dog got out of his 177 E. Coffey St. residence and returned shortly thereafter bleeding from a wound on its side.

Vehicle stolen

Jason McCoy of Uniontown told police his vehicle, a gold Oldsmobile, was stolen between Friday and Saturday evening, city police reported. McCoy, according to police, said he parked the vehicle behind his 174 Coolspring St. residence Friday night and noticed it was missing at 5:35 p.m. Saturday.
