Mabel R. Lloyd, 101, of Farmington, Pa., and formerly of Fairchance, Pa., passed away peacefully on July 4, 2007.

She… Mabel R. Lloyd, 101, of Farmington, Pa., and formerly of Fairchance, Pa., passed away peacefully on July 4, 2007.

She was born in Mount Braddock, Pa., on January 4, 1906, daughter of the late Charles McClain and Margaret Hoye McClain.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond Lloyd in 1980, brothers, Perry McClain and James McClain, sisters, Lois Shreckengost and Beatrice Kollar and son-in-law, Guy Edwards.

Mabel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance and also attended the Wharton Furnace Union Chapel in Farmington, Pa., and was a former member of the Mountain Area Senior Citizens.

Surviving are her loving family, daughters: Marguerite Edwards of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Donna Smithburger and her husband, Kenneth Smithburger of Farmington, Pa.; and four grandchildren: Guy Edwards and Will Edwards both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kenny Smithburger and wife, Joyce of Smock, Pa., and Kevin Smithburger of Presto, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 7, 2007, until 11 a.m. the hour of the Service with the Rev. Chares Gray and the Rev. Vincent Cable officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
