James “Stevie” Krch, 71 years, of Dearth, Fayette County, Pa., passed away suddenly on Friday, July 6, 2007, at his… James “Stevie” Krch, 71 years, of Dearth, Fayette County, Pa., passed away suddenly on Friday, July 6, 2007, at his home.
He was born November 17, 1935, in Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pa., the son of Steve Krch and Mary Tekeley Krch.
James was a veteran of the Korean Conflict who served with the United States Navy.
He owned and operated the Patriot Taxi Company.
James was an avid gardener and loved working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Mary Krch Kveder.
He is survived by his former wife and friend, Dorothy Krch; four daughters: Stephanie Krch of Nashua, New Hampshire, Michelle Krch-Price and her husband, Thomas, of Gainesville, Georgia, Kelly Price of Marlborough, Massachusetts, and Jami Krch of Taunton, Massachusetts; five grand-children and one great-grand-son; sisters and brothers: Kay Slagle of Richeyville, Pa., Mildred King and her husband, Donald, of Canonsburg, Pa., John Krch of Florida, Joseph Krch and his wife, Tillie, of West Mifflin, Pa., Helen Karpel and her husband, Leonard, of New Salem, Pa., Paul Krch of Dearth, Pa., Margaret Spishock and her husband, John, of New Salem, Pa., and Edward Krch and his wife, Grace, of Conneaut, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Monday, July 9, 2007, from 6 until 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating.
