Jacob Wilson Vance, 79 years, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away on Monday, July 9, 2007, in his home with his… Jacob Wilson Vance, 79 years, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away on Monday, July 9, 2007, in his home with his loving family by his side.

Born February 27, 1928, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Jacob Vance and Hettie (Hicks) Vance.

“Jake” was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 60 years and a loyal member of Brownsville Lodge No. 60 F. & A. M.

He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

“Jake” was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William H. Vance and James K. Vance, and two sisters, Margaret A. Hoye and Nancy Collier.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lois G. Miller Vance of Brownsville; a son, Eric L. Rihaly and his wife Gayla, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; two grandsons: Brian and Jason; a brother, Robert L. Vance, Trenton, Michigan; sisters: Lorraine Lunden, Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, and Sally Vaughan, Manassas, Virginia; five nieces and nine nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 12, 2007, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

Visitation was also held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Brownsville Lodge No. 60 F. & A. M. conductd a Service in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
