Woman hit

A 17-year-old Merrittstown girl was cited with harassment after she allegedly hit Margaret G. Carr, 43, of Tower Hill 2 in the face, state police said. According to police, the girl went to Carr’s Plum Street residence at 8:30 p.m. July 4 and hit her.

Uniontown

Juveniles cited

Uniontown police said three juveniles were cited for violating curfew after officers spotted them outside at 12:32 a.m. Sunday. Police said the juveniles had been warned once before about violating curfew.

Connellsville

Ongoing investigations

Connellsville police are conducting investigations into the following unrelated incidents:

? A June 29 criminal mischief, when the door of a North Pittsburgh Street apartment was damaged.

? A July 2 criminal mischief, when a vehicle parked in the 300 block of North Pittsburgh Street was hit with eggs.

? A July 2 theft of prescription medications, compact disc player and CDs from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of North 7th Street.

? A July 2 burglary of a residence located in the 500 block of Johnson Avenue. Police said the home was forcibly entered and prescription medications were stolen.

? A July 3 theft of a 20-inch boys bicycle from a residence located in the 1100 block of Sycamore Street.

Charges filed

Police have filed charges against the following people in unrelated incidents:

? Ronald Francy, 51, of Normalville was charged with public drunkenness after he was found allegedly intoxicated June 29 in the 1200 block of South Arch Street.

? Floyd E. Fuller Jr., 49, of Connellsville was charged with public drunkenness after he was found allegedly intoxicated June 28 in the 100 block of North 6th Street.

? Adam M. Kern, 25, of Donegal was charged with public drunkenness after he was found allegedly intoxicated July 1 in the 1000 block of West Crawford Avenue.

? Merle Weimer, 50, and Fredrick Sherwood, 31, both of Connellsville, were charged with disorderly conduct after they were allegedly found urinating in public July 1 in the 200 block of South Prospect Street.

? Elaine Ondra, 38, of Scottdale was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after she was allegedly found intoxicated and creating a disturbance July 3 in Gibson Terrace.

Pickup stolen

Uniontown police said Joseph Pullem Jr. reported at 9 a.m. Sunday that his white two-wheel-drive 1990 Dodge Dakota pickup truck bearing Pennsylvania registration YNK4559 was stolen sometime overnight from outside of his Carson Street residence.

Home burglarized

State police said someone entered a home at 222 Oliphant Road owned by Crystal Simmons and Gary Simons and stole various items between 8 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Uniontown

Juveniles cited

Uniontown police said four juveniles were cited for allegedly violating the city’s 11 p.m. curfew following two incidents.

The first occurred at 11:43 p.m. Saturday when Clarence Fike reported that one of the juveniles threw a rock that struck and damaged a vehicle he was driving on Stewart Avenue. The second incident took place at 12:17 a.m. Sunday when one of the juveniles threw a rock through a window on the BJ Mundel Furniture Co. on Connellsville Street, police said.

Uniontown police said Pat Bonvenuto reported that a rock was thrown through a window on his West Berkeley Street home sometime before 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Vehicle damaged

Uniontown police said Melanie Sliger reported at 10:24 a.m. Sunday that a rock was thrown through a window on her vehicle on Walnut Street. A door on the vehicle also was damaged, police said.

Window broken

The front window on the Sweet Pea’s convenience store, 732 Morgantown Road, was broken at 1:44 a.m. Friday, but the store was not entered, state police said. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the barracks at 724-439-7111.

Woman cited

Southwest Regional police said Ahna L. Johnston, 36, of 410 Market St. was given two citations for violating a borough ordinance after two 14-year-olds in her care were allegedly on Chestnut Street after the 10 p.m. summertime curfew at 11:20 p.m. Saturday.

Southwest Regional police said Timothy Edward Yost, 42, of 923 Ada St. was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, and Barbara A. Lisbon, 37, of 424 Market St. was cited with violating the borough’s curfew ordinance in relation to an incident in which a 14-year-old was cited with disorderly conduct at 11:16 p.m. July 1.

State police said John Rigby III of Clarksville was cited for allegedly slapping a Clarksville woman at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

State police said someone damaged the windshield on a vehicle owned by Rita Jo Yantko on Third Street in Buffington between 3 p.m. Friday and 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Woman cited

State police said a public drunkenness citation was filed against Lee Ann Kessler, 34, of Connellsville after she was allegedly lying in the middle of Vanderbilt Road at 8:25 p.m. Sunday.

Mailbox damaged

State police said someone damaged the mailbox at Clyde Smalley’s home on Breakneck Road sometime before 8:30 a.m. June 30.

North Bethlehem Twp.

Man cited

State police said David D. Stimmell, 51, of 100 High St., Brownsville, was cited with public drunkenness after he was allegedly staggering along the berm of Route 40 at 7:51 p.m. Saturday.

East Huntingdon Twp.

Two-car crash

State police said Adam Depta, 21, of Connellsville and Mandy Fink, 27, of New Stanton were involved in an accident at the intersection of Route 31 and Valley Kitchen Road at 4:18 p.m. Friday. Fink was taken to a hospital with injuries.

Gas stolen

State police said that someone pumped $28.01 in gas at Joe’s Gas and Go in Farmington and left without paying at 12:45 p.m. Monday.

German Twp.

Gun stolen

Mary Fitzgerald told state police that between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday someone stole a 20-gauge shotgun from her residence on Stevenson Street, state police said.

Woman cited

State police said Jacki Kennedy, 25, of Cardale was cited for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after she was at a location in Searights and caused a disturbance and destroyed two window screens Tuesday.

Bullskin Twp.

Four-vehicle crash

State police are investigating a crash that occurred on Route 119 at Kingsview Road and 2:50 p.m. Monday when vehicles driven by Daniel Fox of Ruffs Dale, Mark Walker of Meyersdale, Howard Ohler of Normalville and Douglas Bryner of Scottdale collided.

Ohler had four passengers in his vehicle including Doris Ohler and three minors, police said. Police said Howard Ohler and the three minor in his vehicle were injured and taken to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville and Excela Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant. Fox also was injured, police said. All were wearing seat belts, police said.

Property damaged

State police accused Thomas Chabanik of Uniontown of driving under the influence and criminal mischief at 11:10 a.m. June 22 after he reportedly drove through a yard owned by Violet Chipps on Derry Hill Road and knocked down a “no trespassing” sign. Police said Chabanik then proceeded to Gans-Woodbridge Road where he drove his vehicle through a garage owned by Shannon Rock.

Edgar Fazenbaker is accused of violating a protection-from-abuse order at 11 p.m. July 1, state police said.

Warrant obtained

State police obtained an arrest warrant for Bart Yagla Sr., 42, of Connellsville after he reportedly struck a Connellsville woman in the face at a North Jefferson Street location at 6:35 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Man charged

Clymous Scheller, 42, of Uniontown was charged for harassment after he reportedly struck a 15-year-old male at a Feathers Avenue location at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

State police said someone pumped $15 in gas and left without paying at the Dairy Mart on Dixon Boulevard at 11:28 p.m. July 2.

Kenneth Wilson of Connellsville told state police someone spray painted black paint on the side of his home on East End Road between 9:15 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Woman threatened

State police said Scott Wayne Morris of Waynesburg reportedly verbally threatened to harm Linda Zieniewicz at a Flowers Street location at 6:30 p.m. July 3.

Woman charged

Kathleen Tracy Sutton, 42, of Waynesburg was charged with harassment after a physical altercation with Andrea Dronebarger of Waynesburg at the 600 Building at Mountainview Gardens at 6:25 p.m. July 3, state police said.

Jennifer Lynn Colina, 18, of Nemacolin was charged with disorderly conduct after she caused a disturbance at Cedarwood Apartments at 4:30 a.m. July 3, state police said.

Vehicles collide

State police said Megan Trump of Waynesburg suffered minor injuries and was taken to Southwest Regional Medical Center after her vehicle and a vehicle driven by Justin Yeager of Prosperity collided at Route 188 at Trailer Court Road at 5 p.m. July 4. A passenger in Trump’s vehicle, Les Pemberton of Waynesburg and Alicia Zites of Carmichaels, a passenger in Yeager’s vehicle, were not injured, police said. Police said all occupants were wearing seat belts and both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

Men charged

Garrett Albert Phillips Jr., 41 of Mt. Morris and Joseph Steve Danko, Jr., 52, of Bobtown were charged with harassment after they were involved in an argument on Bald Hill Road at 8 a.m. July 4, state police said.

Hit-and-run reported

Bernice Garrett of Waynesburg reported to state police that a white van sideswiped her vehicle at Sugar Run Road and Route 21 at 11:40 a.m. Friday and did not stop, state police said.

Juvenile cited

State police cited a 17-year-old from Carmichaels for underage drinking after the juvenile was stopped at Route 21 and Elm Drive at 3 a.m. Sunday and found to be in possession of 11 bottles of beer.

One-vehicle crash

State police said Randi Patton of Waynesburg was not injured when the vehicle Patton was driving collided head-on into a support beam near Route 218 near Brickyard Hollow Road at 4:50 a.m. Sunday.

Vehicle crashes

Jason Hyde of Point Marion was not injured when his vehicle struck a guardrail on Route 88 at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Jefferson Twp.

Vehicles collide

State police said two vehicles driven by Brant Collins of Jefferson and Dale Milliken of Rices Landing sustained severe damage after they collided on Route 188 at Washington Street at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Collins sustained injuries. Collins’ passenger, Cory Collins of Clarksville, and Milliken were not injured, police said.

Truck damaged

Robert Knupp of Belle Vernon told Southwest Regional police that someone threw at least two eggs at his truck at 8:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

Frank Nahar of Belle Vernon said that between 2 p.m. July 4 and 1 p.m. Thursday someone dented the right side of a car owned by his company and damaged the front grill while the vehicle was in his lot on Main Street, Southwest Regional police said.

Sign damaged

State police said someone damaged the National City Bank sign at Countryside Plaza at 3 p.m. July 2 then fled the scene.

Mount Pleasant Twp.

Woman assaulted

State police said Scott Lawson, 25, of Mount Pleasant was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment after a domestic dispute with Nicollette Orban of Mount Pleasant at 8 p.m. Sunday. Police said Lawson allegedly kicked Orban multiple times and told her he was going to kill her and burn the house down. Police said Orban had a minor injury to her left hand. Lawson was taken to Westmoreland County Prison to await arraignment, police said.

Long Branch

Mailbox damaged

Police said that between Saturday and Monday someone caused damage to a mailbox on Honor Street by throwing a pint size clear plastic water bottle filled with some type acidic solution into the box and causing corrosion, Southwest Regional police said. A piece of rolled up paper also was found in the box, police said.

Apartment entered

Jack Switzer of Uniontown reported to city police that there were people in a vacant apartment at a North Gallatin Avenue location at 2:53 p.m. Monday, police said. Police said upon arrival they found Kenneth Holt and Pamala Merico, both of Uniontown, in the apartment. Police said both were taken to the office of Magisterial District Judge Mark Blair after the two were found to have warrants out on them. Police said they were then informed that Holt’s warrant was taken care of earlier in the week and Merico was sentenced to 90 days in prison.

Windshield broken

Uniontown police said John Hart of Uniontown reported someone threw a brick at his vehicle, breaking the windshield and denting the front passenger fender, at a Pershing Court address at 6:37 p.m. Monday.

Man threatened

John Branthoover of Uniontown told city police that as he was walking on Coolspring Street at 11:45 a.m. Monday, he was approached by an unknown male who pulled a knife and placed it against Branthoover’s neck and demanded Branthoover give him his cellular phone, police said. Branthoover said he gave the man phone and the man fled on foot, police said.

Equipment damaged

Wendell Charles of Uniontown told city police that someone threw rocks and broke the window of a bulldozer that was parked at Coal Lick Run Park between Friday and Monday.

Piping stolen

Robert Turner of Uniontown said that someone broke into a vacant residence on Lemon Street and went into the basement and stole a water meter and about 60 feet half-inch copper pipe.
