Two boys are facing multiple charges after they allegedly robbed and attacked a 17-year-old on Cleveland Avenue in Uniontown Tuesday afternoon. Uniontown police Officer Thomas E. Kolencik said a 14-year-old boy from Uniontown, who was not identified, will be charged today with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and harassment in the Fayette County Juvenile Probation office.

Additionally, Kolencik said a 12-year-old boy, also of Uniontown and unidentified by police, will be charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

According to Kolencik, the incident occurred after the 17-year-old victim from Uniontown, who was not identified, along with his 15-year-old brother, purchased several hoagies and an iced tea from a business on Church Street just after 4 p.m.

As they walked home, the alleged victim told police that two boys he knows took the bag of hoagies and the iced tea from him.

The boy said that the 14-year-old teen then struck him in the head, police said.

The victim was taken to Uniontown Hospital and received two staples in his head because of a 3-inch laceration. He also was treated for a sprained neck, Kolencik said.
