MASONTOWN – About 15 residents attended an informal meeting June 26 to learn about Allegheny Energy’s plans to install scrubbers designed to remove nearly all the sulfur dioxide from air emissions from the Hatfield’s Ferry Power Station and expand its on-site landfill to dispose of the waste gypsum produced by the scrubbers.
