State police said a vehicle hit and damaged a utility pole at 249 Town and Country Road at 2:35 a.m. July 15, state police at Uniontown said.

Lynn’s Dairy Queen on Route 819 was broken into between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday, state police said. Police ask anyone with information about the break-in to call the barracks at 724-832-3288.

Lois Taylor of Uniontown told city police that she received fraudulent checks by mail totaling $4,000 at her home on Beeson Boulevard Thursday, police said.

Uniontown police said they recovered a bicycle owned by Todd McGee of Uniontown that had been reported stolen at a location on Askren Street at 11:41 a.m. Thursday.

State police said a vehicle driven by an unidentified woman struck a vehicle driven by Thomas Galway of Brownsville in a parking lot in Redstone Township and then fled the scene at 7:50 p.m. July 13.

Cars collide

State police said no one was injured when cars driven by Betty Salonick and Heather Vavrek, both of Masontown, collided on Route 21 at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday.

One charged

Dana Curry, 29, of Uniontown was charged with harassment after an incident involving Kimberly Myers, also of Uniontown, at a residence on Walnut Hill Road at 9 p.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Driver injured

State police said Eric R. Moats of Uniontown suffered injuries when the vehicle he was driving overturned on Leckrone-Highhouse Road at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Vandals damaged three benches at the Dairy Queen restaurant on Connellsville Street sometime Sunday morning, state police said.

Gasoline stolen

State police said an undetermined amount of gasoline owned by the Exxon service station on Route 51 was stolen at 7:39 p.m. Monday.

In another incident report, state police said $20 worth of gasoline was stolen from the Exxon service station on Route 51 at 5:11 p.m. Tuesday.

Car damaged

Tammy Al-Balawi of Uniontown told state police that vandals damaged her vehicle while it was parked on Duck Hollow Road at 3 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Boy injured

State police said an unidentified boy suffered moderate injures when he crashed his all-terrain vehicle on Morgan Station Road at 5:38 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the boy allegedly lost control of the ATV while rounding a curve and struck a guardrail, causing the ATV to overturn. According to police, the boy was thrown from the ATV and landed on the road. He was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for medical treatment, police said.

Residences damaged

State police said two Little Summit Road residences owned by Shawn DeWitt and Richard Smiley were vandalized between 9 p.m. July 10 and 9 a.m. July 11. Police said windows in both residences were damaged.

South Union Twp.

Copper, items stolen

State police said several copper pipe fittings, numerous power tools, a generator and other items were stolen from trailers at the Wal-Mart construction site on Matthew Drive between 2:30 and 3 a.m. Wednesday. Police said the suspects were driving a light-colored, possibly two-toned, full-size extended pickup truck with running boards and spotlights on the roof of the vehicle. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call trooper Scott Krofcheck at the state police barracks in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.

Speakers stolen

James Fisher of Adah told police two 12-inch speakers and an amplifier were stolen from the back of his Chevrolet Blazer while the vehicle was parked on Palmer Road between 2:30 and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Vanderbilt

ATV stolen

Robert Grimm of Vanderbilt told police an all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a location on First Street between 5 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, state police reported.

Fence damaged

State police said a fence surrounding a large trash container in the Dairy Queen parking lot on Connellsville Street was damaged after being set on fire at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday. The incident is under investigation, police said.
