Results from the recent livestock auctions and crop sales in the region were as follows: —

The Pennsylvania Livestock Market Report for Waynesburg for July 19 is as follows:

CATTLE:

STOCK COWS: 50 to 71.

SLAUGHTER COWS: Utility and commercial, 50 to 61.50; boner and boning utility, 45 to 51; cutter and boning utility, 44 to 53; canner and low cutter, 42 to 48; shells, 40 down.

BULLS: Yield grade 1, 1,500-2,000 pounds, 55 to 72.50; grade 2, 1,000-1,400 pounds, 50 to 85.

FEEDER STEERS: Medium and light, 1, 250-280 pounds, 85 to 109; 300-500 pounds, 90 to 114; 600-900 pounds, 70 to 112.

HEIFERS: Medium and light, 1, 300-500 pounds, 84-103; light 1, 400-650 pounds, 70 to 100.

BULLS: Medium and light, 1, 300-620 pounds, 70 to 108.

CALVES: Veal…prime, 70-104; choice, 60-84; good, 40-84.

FARM CALVES: No. 1 Holstein bulls, 90-120 pounds, few, 65-155; No. 2, 80-100 pounds, few, 50-85. Beef – Bulls and heifers/head, 35-153.

HOGS: Barrows and gilts, 1-2, 210-255 pounds, 35 to 44; 2-3, 255-280 pounds, 34-39. Sows, 1-3 300-500 pounds, 20-34.

FEEDER PIGS: 1-3, 15-20 pounds, 12 to 28/head; 1-3, 25-35 pounds, 15 to 46/head.

LAMBS: High choice, 80-100 pounds, 60 to 100; choice, 40-75 pounds, 75-121. Feeder lambs, good, 60-100; sheep, 22-41; fat sheep, 19.50-28.

GOATS: Large, 65 to 95/head; medium, 50 to 75/head; small, 8 to 41/head.

HORSES: Horses, 20 to 53; ponies, 20 to 42.

Eighty Four Livestock Auction held in Eighty Four on July 16, results were:

CATTLE: 265 [PDA].

STEERS: Choice 1-3, one, 1,445 pounds, 84. Select 1-2, one, 79.

HOLSTEIN STEERS: Choice, 2-3, 1,305-1,685 pounds, 66-71. Select, 1-2, few, 63-64.

HEIFERS: Standard, 1-2, couple 71 and 76.

COWS: Breakers, 75-80 percent lean, 56.50-63; boners, 80-85 percent lean, 49.50-56; lean, 85-90 percent lean, 42-49; shells 41.50 and down.

BULLS: Yield grade 1, 965 to 2,215 pounds, 59 to 65. Yield grade 2, 1,005 to 1,590 pounds, 53 to 60.

FEEDER CATTLE:

STEERS: One medium, 1, 350 pounds, 120. Medium and large, 2, 265 to 385 pounds, 85 to 108; 565 to 645 pounds, 89 to 94; one large 3, 800 pounds, 76.

HEIFERS: Couple medium, 1, 250 pounds, 108; couple large 1, 355 and 435 pounds, 105 to 110. Medium and large 2, 225-495 pounds, 80 to 105; 530 to 700 pounds, 74 to 85.

BULLS: Medium, 1, 245 to 483 pounds, 101 to 119; 540 to 650 pounds, 90 to 107. Large 1, 435-585 pounds, 92 to 114. Medium and large 2, 280-460 pounds, 88-106; 517-795 pounds, 73-107.

CALVES 175…Holstein bulls were lower, 85 percent to special fed veal.

VEALERS: Standard and good, 75-155 pounds, 35-62.50; utility, 50-95 pounds, 7-30.

FARM CALVES: No. 1 Holstein bulls, 55-125 pounds, 90-105; No. 2, 85-130 pounds, 65-87.50; couple No 1 Holstein heifers, 100 and 125 pounds, 475 and 600; one No. 2, 65 pounds, 120; one beef cross bulls and heifers, 100 pounds, 105.

HOGS: 5. Barrows and gilts, few 40 to 45 percent lean, 250-275 pounds, 35 to 36. Sows one medium, 270 pounds, 20.

FEEDER PIGS 7…sold per hundredweight: 1-3, 120-145 pounds, 58-63.

SHEEP: 174.

SLAUGHTER LAMBS: High choice and prime, 50-107 pounds, 111-120; choice, 45-70 pounds, 100-117.50; 81-95 pounds, 92-110; 100-130 pounds, 91-107; good and choice, 30-65 pounds, 62.50-90.

SLAUGHTER SHEEP: 22.50-48. Yearlings, 70-97.50.

GOATS: 82…(sold by the head).
