By Josh Krysak 1 min read

State police said charges will be filed against a 21-year-old Connellsville man who impersonated a state police trooper in April.

Police said the charges will be filed later today before Magisterial District Judge Dwight Shaner.

The man s identity is being withheld pending the formalization of charges.

According to trooper Daniel Barnhart, the man pulled over a 19-year-old Dunbar Township woman in Uniontown around 5 p.m. April 19 and told her he needed to follow her to her residence.

After following her home, the man asked her for her driver s license and then fled the scene, police said.

After weeks of investigation, a witness selected the man from a police lineup, police said.
