The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Chelsea Garlick of Connellsville, a junior at Geibel Catholic High School, as a student of the month for March. The daughter of Tammy and Larry Garlick, she plans to attend Carnegie Mellon or New York University to study journalism/music theory with the career goal of becoming the next host on “Passport to Europe” on the Travel Channel. Garlick’s work experience includes playing the piano at weddings. Her community involvement includes playing the piano, guitar and dancing and traveling with the People to People Ambassador’s Ambassadors.
Garlick is very active in the extracurricular activities at Geibel Catholic High School. Her activities include: cheerleading, chamber ensemble, Gator Entertainers, yearbook staff, newspaper staff, prom committee, National Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society.
