She was born September 10, 1938, in Connellsville, Pa. Marlene is the daughter of the late Paul Robertson and Goldie (Knight) Goodman.
she was employed many years at Independent Headstart of Cleveland, Ohio, where she was a counselor.
Her husband, Larry R. Welling, Sr. and the following children survive Marlene: Lynn Elwell and husband, James of Vanderbilt, Pa., Melissa Dicenzii of Strongsville, Ohio, Larry R. Welling, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Dena Myers and husband, Tom of Parma Heights, Ohio. She was the proud grandmother of four: Joey L. Myers, Crystal Butler, Christopher J. Elwell and Mariah Welling; and one great-granddaughter, April Svagerko.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Irma Welling, one grandson, Jason Elwell and one brother-in-law, Ronald V. Welling.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., on Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and on Saturday until 10 a.m. the hour of Service. Pastor Bonnie Hartley officiating. Interment will be in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt, Pa.
