William L. Hixenbaugh, 69, of Ralph, Pa., passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007, in his home.

He was born August 30, 1937, in Royal, a son of the late William and Irene Wingrove Hixenbaugh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Frances Shafer Hixenbaugh, his sister, Florence Leon and his brother, Harold Hixenbaugh.
Bill was a former employee of Volkswagon of America in New Stanton and the Fayette Grocers Association. He was an Airman Second Class serving with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his children, John Lee Hixenbaugh and his wife, Fran, of Adah, Bryan Lee Hixenbaugh of Hibbs, serving with the US Army, Allen Scott Hixenbaugh and wife, Mary, of Hiller, Karlene Hope Hixenbaugh Wilson and her husband, Rick, of Mcclellandtown and Eric Shane Hixenbaugh and his wife, Ada, of Morgantown, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Rachael Ricco of Dorset, Ohio and a brother, Charles Hixenbaugh of Aurora, Ohio.
Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Sunday, June 24, 2007, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held, with the Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating.
