PenDOT to hold public plans display for Route 218 structure

1 min read

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, is currently preparing a conceptual design for a structure replacement on State Route 218 in Greene County.

The project consists of replacing the bridge carrying Route 218 over Robert’s Run in Wayne Township. Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2007. Traffic and access to residents will be maintained throughout construction. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane through the project area during construction. As part of the continuing project development process, a public plans display and open house will be held to present the proposed project.

The open house will be held at the East Franklin Grange, located at 2262 Smith Creek Road on Route 218 South in Wayne Township, on Thursday, June 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The plans display location is accessible to persons having disabilities.

Any person requiring special aid is asked to contact PennDOT prior to the meeting.
