EAST BETH TWP. – An unidentified person was hit by a train in Fredericktown late Sunday night. A spokeswoman for Washington County 911 said the accident occurred on Besco Road in Fredericktown at 10:20 p.m.

Fredericktown Volunteer Fire Department was activated, as was an emergency unit from Greene County, according to information from 911.

The spokeswoman said emergency officials called for a medical helicopter to fly the person for medical treatment following the accident.
