Clara B. (Szalankiewicz) Kowalewski, 81, of Scottdale, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007, in Edgewood Manor, Westerville, Ohio. Clara retired from Modulus Corporation, Mount Pleasant where she worked as a scaler and inspector.

She is survived by two children: Louise Pillifant of Columbus, Ohio and Jan Kowalewski and wife, Annette of Somerset; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Genevieve Fatla of Mount Pleasant and Loretta Brisette of Hoboken, N.J.; a brother, Chester ‘Pete’ Szalankiewicz of Lyndhurst, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will be received from 2 to 9 p.m., on Friday in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale.
