Diana R. Sparks
Diana R. Sparks, 57, of Scottdale, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born January 18, 1950, in Connellsville a daughter of the late Sylvester and Irma Shipley Shroyer.
Mrs. Sparks was a graduate of Southmoreland High School. She was employed at the former Murphy’s Mart, later Ames Department Store, for several years. She was a member TRIO, Transplant Recipients International Organization and a social member of the Scottdale Fireman’s Club.
Diana loved her grandchildren, playing bingo and she was an avid and enthusiastic shopper.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one brother, Gerald Shroyer, and one sister, Donna Collins.
She is survived by her husband, William D. Sparks; three daughters: Sherri Wilson and her husband, James of Ohiopyle, Dana Sparks and her fianc?, Edward Szwed, and Candace Oliver and her husband, Daniel, all of Scottdale; seven grandchildren: Joshua and Tisherra Koss, Billy Wilson, Tiffany Sparks, Thomas Sparks, Darian Sparks, and Cheyenne Oliver; and one brother, Marvin Shroyer and his wife, Janet of Scottdale.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m., on Thursday and from 2 to 9 p.m., on Friday in the BROOKS FUNRAL HOME, INC., 111 East Green Street Connellsville where services will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday with the Rev. Dennis Moriarty officiating.
Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery.
