German Twp. Man jailed
Clarence C. Cole, 66, of Hibbs was placed in Fayette County Prison on $15,000 straight cash bond Feb. 24 after he allegedly threatened to shoot three people and himself.
The incident occurred at 517 Summit St. in the village of Ralph, police said. Cole allegedly became upset at Leonard Charles Bujanowski, 45, of California and Theresa Marie Cavallaro, 42, and George Raymond Tichnor, 50, both of Coal Center, during a brief encounter, entered his residence and came back out with a rifle.
He allegedly pointed the rifle at the victims, threatening to shoot them and himself, and then went back into his house and started a 20-minute standoff with police, police said.
Cole was taken into custody without incident and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jesse J. Cramer.
A preliminary hearing on aggravated assault charges is scheduled for March 15, according to police.

Jewelry stolen
Jewelry was stolen from two safes at 16 Ashley St. between Feb. 23 and Friday, state police said. The owners of the jewelry are Ira E. Hubscher and Linda K. Hubscher, both of Uniontown, according to police. The theft is still under investigation.

Truck damaged
State police said someone damaged truck windows and shed doors belonging to Joseph Hudock at 620 Magee St. in the village of Ronco between noon and 5 p.m. Friday.

Charges pending
State police said charges are pending against a 45-year-old Uniontown man allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia on Dunbar-Ohiopyle Road at 4:35 p.m. Friday. Charges are pending lab results, police said.

One injured
Harold Crossland, 79, of Uniontown and Joseph Hollowood, 43, of Dickerson Run suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle accident Friday on Route 119 southbound near the Speedy Meedy’s gas station, state police said.
According to police, a pickup truck driven by Crossland, which was traveling north on Route 119 and a car driven by Hollowood, which was traveling in the left lane of Route 119 southbound, collided.
Police noted that both vehicles were towed from the scene of the accident and both men were wearing seat belts.

Vehicles crash
Two vehicle crashes occurred on the Summit Mountain Thursday in the area known as the site of the former Watering Trough restaurant.
The first accident occurred at 12:23 p.m. when Brittany E. Check, 19, of Uniontown was allegedly traveling too fast on the winding road and lost control of her car, crashing into the center median and overturning, according to state police.
Check suffered from minor injuries from the crash and her vehicle was towed from the scene, said police. Check was wearing a seat belt, police added.
Another vehicle accident occurred shortly afterward at the same location at 12:26 p.m.
The crash occurred when a pickup truck driven by Ronnie Vansickle, 50, no address available, lost control after allegedly speeding and crashed into a tanker truck parked on the shoulder of the road.
The driver of the tanker, Donald Troy Allday, 48, of Sarver, was assisting at the scene of the accident at the time of the crash, said police.
Vansickle’s truck was towed from the scene, police said. Neither Vansickle nor Allday was injured in that accident, police said.

Man hurt in crash
Larry Campbell of Uniontown suffered from a neck injury in a three-vehicle accident that occurred at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday on Route 40, said state police.
Campbell was injured after a pickup truck driven by Sean Bavoso of Grindstone struck Campbell’s car, pushing the vehicle into a sport utility vehicle driven by Roxanne Conner of Brownsville.
All three vehicles were damaged in the crash and all three drivers were wearing seat belts, police said. Bavoso and Conner were not injured in the crash, police noted.

Woman charged
Uniontown police charged Jessica Laine Jones, 28, of Riviera Trailer Court in Dillinger with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia after discovering her at 3:30 a.m. Saturday allegedly passed out inside her vehicle, which was parked in the McDonald’s restaurant parking lot in the Uniontown Shopping Center.

Man cited
John Miller of 79 Lenox St. was cited for harassment after he allegedly punched two women inside Konko’s Sports Bar at 200 E. Askren St. around 2 a.m. Saturday, Uniontown police said.
Miller allegedly struck Wanda Harden of Uniontown and Michelle Atwood, no addresses available, police said. Police alleged Miller struck Harden on the side of her face with his hand and hit Atwood in her chest. No marks or bruises were observed, police said.
Police said they were initially called to the scene when Miller refused to leave the bar.

Uniontown police said someone broke into Region Buick at 75 E. Fayette St. sometime Thursday night.
Police said someone may have entered through a window on the east side of the building and, once inside, entered all the offices. Police said Friday it was not known if anything was stolen.

Man charged
Uniontown police charged David Rhodes, 27, of Connor Street, Uniontown, with violating a protection-from-abuse order.
The violation allegedly occurred at 9:20 p.m. Friday at his ex-girlfriend’s Linden Place residence, police said.

Someone spray-painted Wendy Barber’s vehicle parked at 295 Morgantown St., using blue paint sometime Thursday night, Uniontown police said.

Mailbox damaged
Someone damaged Chris Eugene Meeks’ Airshaft Road mailbox between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Friday, state police said.

Debit card stolen
State police said someone stole a debit card belonging to Kansis Neth of Grindstone and used it without her permission. The card was stolen between Feb. 16 and 25 from Mount Vernon Road in Grindstone, police said.
