Ruth Sherman Sturtz
Ruth L. Sherman Sturtz, age 88, of McCune Avenue, Scottdale, Pa., a talented musician, organist and pianist whose passion was music and provided piano and organ lessons to many area residents, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2007, in her residence. She is survived by her children: Ronald R. Sturtz and his wife, Daphne, of Roseburg, Oregon, Ruthann Bigley and her husband, David, and Rhonda Allison and her husband, Rob, all of Scottdale, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Pam Sturtz of Scottdale, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa., on Monday from 1 to 9 p.m.
Viewing will continue in the Church of Christ, 215 North Chestnut Street, Scottdale, on Tuesday, March 6, from 10 until 11 a.m.
