Minnie Bookshar Dorsey
Minnie Bookshar Dorsey, age 100, of Indiana, Pa., passed away Saturday, March 3, 2007, at home.
She was born September 27, 1906, in Coalbrook, Pa., the daughter of John Bookshar and Minnie Wuske Bookshar.
Mrs. Dorsey was a member of the Tower Hill Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael “Dutch” Dorsey, a son, Charles P. Dorsey, and these sisters and brothers: Suzanne Gorio, Theodosia Noel, Lillian Bookshar, William Bookshar, John Bookshar and George Bookshar.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Alberta R. Dorsey of Indiana, Pa., with whom she made her home; a granddaughter, Dayna Dorsey, and a daughter-in-law, Constance Dorsey, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon, the hour of the Funeral Service with the Rev. Roger A. Peterson officiating.
Interment will follow in Acklin Cemetery, Hopewell Road, Brownsville, Pa.
