Who’s rubbing navels now? Update….”The word ‘samba’ means ‘to rub navels together.'” -Cliff Clavin, “Cheers” And so it has come to pass that the gritty mobster has been replaced with the erstwhile postman.

Last week The Soprano’s Vincent Pastore shuffled out DWTS – and John Ratzenberger, a.k.a. Cliff Clavin, has time-stepped in … or stepped in time, whichever you like. I can only hope that the trivia king’s entrance into the show brings with it a Cheers reunion in an audience increasingly littered with famous faces.

I can see it now: Sam and Diane trying to kill one another as they fight mounting sexual tension conveyed by his rumba, Woody as a performer singing the Kelly song, Carla will of course be pregnant, and most importantly, there will be Norm, beer in hand, parked on a bar stool next to Len, Bruno and Carrie Ann.

Now that’s fun in the ballroom!
