Brownsville council race attracts six
The race for Brownsville Borough Council has the most candidates of any council election in Fayette County for the May 15 primary as six candidates filed for four seats. Democrat incumbents John T. Hosler, Charles Russ McMaster and Robert Pritts, are being challenged by Teresa Holt and James S. Lawver for four seats. Robert Hess is the only Republican seeking the office, so he is guaranteed a slot on the November ballot.
Incumbent Edward “Tuck” Rohrer is not seeking re-election.
