Suspect sought
State police are searching for a man who assaulted and robbed Mark Pavlack of Ruffsdale at Pavlack’s residence on Clearview Drive between 3 and 4 a.m. Monday. Police said Pavlack arrived at his home where the suspect was waiting. Police said the gunman led Pavlack inside the home and struck him multiple times in the head as he searched the residence for money. Police said the suspect then handcuffed Pavlack’s hands and feet but Pavlack was able to retrieve a handgun from inside his home and fire several rounds at the intruder before he fled the scene in Pavlack’s H2 Hummer. Police said it is possible the man was struck by one of the bullets fired by Pavlack. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-929-6262.

Items stolen
Sandra Lee Shaffer, 29, of Smithfield told state police that someone broke into her car on Feb. 26 and stole 10 CDs from the vehicle while it was parked at the Wal-Mart on Route 119.

License plate stolen
Sherry Wilkes of Uniontown told police the license plate was stolen off her vehicle between Thursday and Saturday while it was parked at her 450 E. Main St. residence, city police said.

Tires flattened
City police said Albert Smalley of Uniontown was cited for harassment and criminal mischief after he allegedly flattened all four tires on his girlfriend’s vehicle at 10:48 p.m. Saturday. The girlfriend, Lauralyn Johnson of Uniontown, told police Smalley flattened the tires after she refused to give him keys to the car, police said, noting that the argument took place at the couple’s 158 W. Berkeley St. residence.

Razors stolen
City police said three razors, worth $9.99 each, were reported stolen from the CVS Pharmacy on Pittsburgh Street at 4:04 p.m. Saturday. At 7:17 p.m., two Norelco shavers, worth $54.99 each, were also reported stolen from the same store. Police said the suspect is believed to be a black male of medium height who was last seen wearing black and carrying a yellow bag.

Svell Osaki Moto, no address available, was cited for public drunkenness following an incident at a West Askren Street residence at 12:32 a.m. Sunday, city police said.

Four charged
Jason William Kofmehl, 20, of Johnstown; Gregory A. Parks, 18, of Pittsburgh; Angela Bohus, 20, of Olney, Md.; and Maria E. Grudevich, 20, of Canonsburg were each charged with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of alcoholic beverages following a party at an apartment in the borough at 11:12 p.m. Friday, California police said.
