11 Democrats compete in primary for Luzerne Twp. Supervisor
Eleven candidates, all Democrats, have filed to run in the May 15 primary for the Luzerne Township supervisor post being vacated by Ron DeSalvo, who’s stepping down after three terms in office. “I’ve been there 17 years, three terms. It will be 18 years in January. I’m 70 right now. That’s why it’s time to get out,” DeSalvo said.
Seeking the position are William Lane III, Keith Magle, John J. Marshall, Roy Mehalik, Bob Miller, David Bud Miller and Robin Moore. No Republicans are running for the post.
