Carmina ‘Nellie’ Cammeresi
Carmina ‘Nellie’ Cammeresi, 98, of Macedonia, Ohio, formerly of Dunbar, Pa., died Friday, March 2, 2007, in the Emerald Ridge Nursing Home, Solon, Ohio. She was born September 16, 1908, in Naples, Italy, daughter of the late Joseph Crish and Marie Joan Mascia Crish.
She was the last member of her immediate family, a member of Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society, the Dunbar Sons of Italy, and she was a homemaker.
She enjoyed talking and laughing with her family and many friends.
She is survived by her daughters: Joann Mongulla and husband, Eddie of Macedonia, Ohio, Geri Smalley and husband, Bernie of Solon, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jack, Carm, Rhonda, Mary, Joe, Kathy, David, and Renee; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert ‘Jack’ Cammeresi, son, Peter ‘Pat’ Cammeresi and his wife, Stephanie ‘Steph’, brother, Joseph Crish, sisters, Mary Carbone and Elizabeth Lanzi.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m., on Friday, March 9, 2007, in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., with Rosary at 4 p.m., Morning Prayers will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 10, 2007, in the Funeral Home followed at noon by Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Dunbar, Pa., Rev. Msgr. J. Edward McCullough officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar, Pa.
