Lawsuit filed
A Uniontown man sued has filed suit in Fayette County Court against the driver who allegedly struck her 7-year-old son as he walked across a North Union Township street last summer. Dannett M. Darnell claimed that Danielle M. White crossed a southbound lane on North Gallatin Avenue and Whyel Avenue on June 5 and hit her son, Dylan E. Burgess, around 4:30 p.m.
State police said Burgess darted out into traffic before White hit him.
The suit asks for money to pay for Burgess’ medical expenses.
After the accident, Burgess was flown to West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., and was released two days later.
