Viola Ruble McClain, 79, of Lake Lynn, Pa., died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in her home. Born in Uniontown, Pa., on October 29, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Russell L. and Ethel (McCann) Ruble.

An Apostolic by faith, she was a much loved mother and grandmother to her large family.

Surviving are nine children and their spouses: Betty Jean and Bill McFadden of Fairchance, Pa., Henry and Donna McClain of Lake Lynn, Bess and Chuck Hurtt of Uniontown, David and Lana McClain of Point Marion, Kathy Woody and Randy Wolfe of Granville, W.Va., Viola Bair of Lake Lynn, Janet and Bob Gidley of Grafton, W.Va., Robert and Toni McClain of Lake Lynn, and Arthur McClain and Alonda Wolfe of Smithfield; 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two brothers: the Rev. Charles Ruble of Point Marion and Carl Ruble of Massachusetts; and two sisters: Alberta Varano of Smithfield and Mary Ruble of Fairchance.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. McClain on June 4, 1984, two children, Dorothy Wade and Michael McClain, brothers, Richard and Henry Ruble, sisters, Margaret Johnson and Jessie Chipps, two grandchildren, Henry McClain, Jr. and Ray McFadden, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday until 1:30 p.m., the hour of Service, with the Rev. Scott Teets officiating. Interment follows in Fletcher Cemetery, Cheat Lake, W.Va.
