Viola Ruble McClain
Viola Ruble McClain, age 79, of Lake Lynn, Pa., died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in her home. Born in Uniontown, Pa., on October 29, 1927, she was the daughter of Russell L. Ruble and Ethel (McCann) Ruble.
An Apostolic by faith, she was a much-loved mother and grandmother to her large family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. McClain on June 4, 1984, two children, Dorothy Wade and Michael McClain, brothers, Richard Ruble and Henry Ruble, sisters, Margaret Johnson and Jessie Chipps, two grandchildren, Henry McClain Jr. and Ray McFadden, three great-grandchildren, and her parents.
Surviving are nine children and their spouses: Betty Jean and Bill McFadden of Fairchance, Pa., Henry and Donna McClain of Lake Lynn, Bess and Chuck Hurtt of Uniontown, Pa., David and Lana McClain of Point Marion, Pa., Kathy Woody and Randy Wolfe of Granville, West Virginia, Viola Bair of Lake Lynn, Janet and Bob Gidley of Grafton, West Virginia, Robert and Toni McClain of Lake Lynn, and Arthur McClain and Alonda Wolfe of Smithfield, Pa.; 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two brothers: the Rev. Charles Ruble of Point Marion, Pa., and Carl Ruble of Massachusetts; and two sisters: Alberta Varano of Smithfield, Pa., and Mary Ruble of Fairchance, Pa.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Pa., today (Sunday, March 11) until 1:30 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Scott Teets officiating.
Interment follows in Fletcher Cemetery, Cheat Lake, West Virginia.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
