Comprehensive plan available for public review
CENTERVILLE – Centerville Borough citizens can glimpse the future of their town at the borough building. Council announced that a comprehensive plan is in place for the borough and is available for viewing. A public hearing will be held May 3 at 6 p.m. for the public to make comment before council decides whether or not to adopt the plan.
A future-land use map, with rural resource land covering most of the area, is displayed in borough chambers.
Council member Susie Zebley commented that the map shows “goals for how set things down for future development.”
“I think (the plan) is wonderful,” Zebley added.
The borough had been through two other engineers before development of this plan.
In other matters, council approved a 46-home subdivision near Route 40 contingent on zoning officer approval.
