Robert L. Calhoun, age 68, of Uniontown, Pa., beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 15, 2007.

He was born on December 20, 1938, in Connellsville, Pa., the son of Ralph E. Calhoun and Elizabeth (McQuade) Calhoun Talbert.

Robert was a retired ironworker and a member of the Iron Workers Local 433 in Los Angeles, California.

He was in the United States Marine Corps for a short time.

Robert was a member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club.

His parents and one brother preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia A. (Smitley) Calhoun; three daughters: Dayna Frances of Reseda, California, Robin Calhoun and special friend, John Dolan, and Kathleen Bell and her husband Emmett, of Salvisa, Kentucky; three grandchildren: Daniel Fadenholz and his wife, Miranda, Krystyn Nicole and her special friend, Jon, and Rachel Bell; two great-granddaughters: Lilly Fadenholz and Olyvia Orchid Ostic; a sister, Joyce Horner and her husband, Shorty, of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers-in-law: Ken Smitley of Uniontown, Pa., and Earl Smitley and his wife, Joann, of California state; several nieces and nephews; a close personal friend, Lisa Mitchell and her daughters, Kelsey and Laura; and also friends, Bob Goudy and Bob Crable.

Friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, until 1 p.m.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
