Bridge damaged
A storm blew down a tree that crushed a pedestrian bridge in Fairchance Community Park about two weeks ago. The borough said it is waiting for its insurance company to inspect the damage before it removes the tree and decides whether to repair or replace the bridge. Borough council authorized the removal of other large trees in park.
