Michael William Maddas
Michael William Maddas, 37, of Connellsville, Pa., died Monday, March 19, 2007, in Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg. He was born May 25, 1969, in Connellsville, Pa., a son of Jim and Audrey Watson Maddas of Connellsville.
Michael was Catholic by faith. He was employed as a Bus Hop for Seven Springs Ski Resort and also a cook for various restaurants.
He attended Connellsville Area High School and was on the swim team. He also swam for the Gormans Gators from the Scottdale YMCA.
Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Cecilia Maddas of Dunbar, maternal grandparents, George and Betty Watson, and an aunt, Norma Schomer of Connellsville.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by the following children, Elizabeth, Kirsten, James, and Ayreanna of Scottdale, and Michael Jr. of Irwin; stepchildren, Devon and Zachery Hiles of Irwin; fianc?e’ Donna Hiles of Irwin; a sister Toni Kay and her husband Tim of Hopwood, Pa.; a brother James Maddas and friend Larry Uncapher of Champion, Pa.; great grandmother, Bessie Watson of Texas; uncles, John Maddas and wife Nancy of Dunbar and William Maddas and wife Ruby of Melcroft; an aunt, Carol Johnston and husband Randy of Dunbar; ex-wife, Samantha Maddas.
Family and friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville, on Wednesday from 1 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held on Thursday, at a time to be announced.
Interment will follow in Greenridge Memorial Park.
