Ann F. Takac
Ann F. Takac, 88, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2007, in Saint Anne’s Home, Greensburg, Pa. She was born on September 24, 1918, in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of John and Anna Lakatosh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Takac, a granddaughter, Lori Ann Takac, her sisters, Mary A. Lakatosh, Betty Lakatosh and two twin sisters in infancy.
Ann was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Saint Mary’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She enjoyed her home and caring for her family and was a gifted quilter.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: John Takac and wife, Marilyn of Greensburg, Pa., Ronald Takac and wife, Ruth of Moon Township, Pa., Richard Takac and wife, Kathryn of Lansdale, Pa., Nancy Allen and husband, Tim of Uniontown, Pa., and Andrea Verbanic and husband, Eric of Greensburg, Pa.; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, March 26, 2007, until 9:15 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant. Interment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
The Parish Wake Service will be conducted on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Saint Mary’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary on Sunday at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Saint Mary (Nativity) Church or Saint Anne’s Home.
