Hattie Elizabeth Seaton
Hattie Elizabeth Seaton, 83, of Scottdale, Pa., (East Huntingdon Township), died Friday, March 23, 2007, in Dottie’s Personal Care Home. She was born August 22, 1923, in Southwest, a daughter of the late Harry and Rachel (Brunner) Truswell.
Hattie was employed at the former Bryce Brothers Glass Company in Mount Pleasant, Pa., for several years and she also worked at several other glass factories in the Greensburg area.
She was a former member of the Free Methodist Church of Mount Pleasant and a former member of CRY (Concerned Residents of Yukon).
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Sarah E. “Sally” Seaton in 2004, three sisters, Viola Vandyke, Mary Fetters and Emma Truswell and four brothers, Franklin, Delmar, John and Charles Truswell.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Peter Seaton; on son, Harry Seaton and his wife, Sarah of Ruffsdale; one daughter, Cindy Thomas of Latrobe; six grandchildren: Michelle Sechrist and her husband, Kenneth, Harry Seaton, Jr. and his fianc?, Nonie, Annie Stoner and her husband, David and Elizabeth Rose, Jamie and Jeremy Wareham; three great-grandchildren: Kenny Sechrist, Jr., Micheala Sechrist and Aliyah Sherer; and one sister, Eva Strasser of Belton, South Carolina.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 East Washington Street, Mount Pleasant, Pa., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday with the Rev. Frederick L. Bauer officiating.
Interment will be in the Greenlick Cemetery..
