Paul Edson Dunham, Jr., 71, of Gans, Pa., died on Friday, March 23, 2007, in his home with his loving family by his side. He was born April 21, 1935, in Cornish, Pa., son of Sylvia Mae (Umble) Dunham of Gans and the late Paul E. Dunham, Sr. He was also predeceased by his loving grandson, Tyler O’Neil.

In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 52 years, Theresa (Riedmann) Dunham and the following children: Cindy and Randall O’Neil, Sharon Grimm, Paul and Kristen Dunham, Trudy and Berle Pastories all of Smithfield, Pa., Ronald Dunham of Columbia, South Carolina, Roger and Lora Dunham of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia and Tammy and George Elias, Jr. of Brunswick, Ohio; the following grandchildren: Ryan O’Neil and wife, Julie, Captain Joshua Grimm, Captain Joseph Grimm, Charity Grimm Krupa and husband, Brian, Gene Grimm, II and wife, Amy, Adrienne Dunham, Rachael Dunham, Paul Dunham, Tiffany Hornsberger, Justin Pastories, Jesse Elias and Paige Elias; the following great-grandchildren: Morgan Grimm, Madelyn Krupa, Wyatt Krupa and Hannah O’Neil; the following siblings: Pauline Weller, Jane Monahan, Donald Dunham, Audrey Strimel and Janet Franks; a very special aunt, Evelyn Takovich and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Paul was a member of the Ss Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance.

He was a retired Springhill Township Supervisor, a retired coalminer and former co-owner of Dunham Coal Company.

Paul was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed bowling hunting and fishing but most of all spending time with his family. His caring nature and fun loving personality will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, until 10:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance with the Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
