Ann F. Lakatosh Takac
Ann F. Lakatosh Takac, age 88, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2007, in Saint Anne Home, Greensburg, Pa. She was born on September 24, 1918, in Connellsville, Pa., the daughter of John and Anna Lakatosh.
Ann was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Saint Mary’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
She enjoyed her home and caring for her family and was a gifted quilter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John J. Takac, a granddaughter, Lori Ann Takac, her sisters, Mary A. Lakatosh, Betty Lakatosh, and two twin sisters in infancy.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: John Takac and his wife, Marilyn, of Greensburg, Pa., Ronald Takac and his wife, Ruth, of Moon Township, Pa., Richard Takac and his wife, Kathryn, of Lansdale, Pa., Nancy Allen and her husband, Tim, of Uniontown, Pa., and Andrea Verbanic and her husband, Eric, of Greensburg, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, March 26, 2007, until 9:15 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, North Mount Vernon Avenue, with the Rev. Father Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Saint Mary (Nativity) Church, 61 North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401 or Saint Anne Home, 685 Angela Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.
Parish Wake Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home today at 2:30 p.m.
Saint Mary’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary today at 7 p.m.
