Traffic pattern to change at Route 51 bridge
Ongoing construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway’s tie-ins to Route 51 will require a temporary shifting of all traffic on Route 119 away from a Route 51 overpass that is being dismantled and replaced. According to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, affected traffic will be channeled off Route 119 via off-ramps at Route 51 and directed back to Route 119 via on-ramps after it crosses over Route 51.
The diversion of northbound and southbound traffic on Route 119 is scheduled to be in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday, from 10 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday and from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
