Mary Ruddy Hohol
Mary Ruddy Hohol, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, with her loving family by her side. Born Mary T. Langan she was the daughter of Frances and Andrew Langan of Scranton, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Donald V. Ruddy and her second husband, Joseph K. Hohol, her brothers: Leo Brennan, Frank Brennan and Joseph Langan, an infant great-granddaughter, Isabelle Null and a step grandson, Brian Johnson.
Mary will be remembered lovingly by her family. She had exuberance for life and shared this excitement with others.
She is survived by the following children: Robert and wife, Margaret of Hughesville, Md., Joseph and wife, Carole of Uniontown, Pa., Gerard and wife, Sue of Lexington, Ky., Linda Zaycosky and husband, Basil of Uniontown, Pa., Paul of Wexford, Pa., Thomas and wife, Della of Abington, Md., stepchildren: Barbara Baker and husband, Dave of Farmersville, Texas, Jean Johnson and husband, Richard of Scottdale, Pa., Joseph Hohol and wife, Roberta of Connellsville, Pa., and Rebecca Hohol of Greensburg, Pa. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.
Mary was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of Saint John Christian Mothers and was a former member of the church choir. She loved being a homemaker and being with her family. She was an avid bridge player and was a former employee of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy at Fallingwater.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, March 30, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday morning, March 31, 2007, until 9 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant.
Interment follows in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
A Parish Wake will be held today at 3:30 p.m.
