George Slavik
George Slavik, 69, of Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday, March 29, 2007, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born August 29, 1937, in Richeyville, Pa., a son of the late Paul and Anna (Homich) Slavik.
He was Catholic by faith and a member of the IUOE Local 66 of Monroeville. He served with the United States Army’s First Armored Division out of Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife: Joanne Slavik; four children: Joseph Paul and wife, Lori of Saint Cloud, Florida, Robert (Red) Slavik of Brownsville, George (Ned) Slavik of Canonsburg and Revamarie Savage and husband, Joseph of Roscoe; six grandchildren: Krysta Rose Slavik, Chelsey Hannah Slavik, Trinity Faith Savage, Morgan Elizabeth Slavik, Joseph Michael Slavik and Samantha Joanne Slavik; two sisters: Maratha Phillips and Dorothy Satonick of Ohio; and a brother, Thomas Slavik; several nieces and nephews including special nephew, Dennis Rizzi of Wayne, Jew Jersey.
A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
