Marijuana fouind in traffic stop

State police found more than 15 grams of marijuana and a hoard of cash in the car of a Fayette County man stopped for a routine traffic violation on Mifflin Avenue in Uniontown. State police said Quintilus Scott, no address available, was arraigned Monday night by video before Magisterial District Judge Jesse Cramer on several drug charges.

According to Sgt. James Caccimelio, trooper Michael Irwin found the drugs and as well as $747 in cash in the car after the traffic stop around 9 p.m.

Caccimelio said further investigation of the vehicle uncovered more drugs as well as drug paraphernalia.

Scott was placed in the Fayette County Prison on $8,500 straight cash bond.

A preliminary hearing will be held before Magisterial District Judge Mark L. Blair.
