Charles Fowler, Jr., 72, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Smithfield, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in Saint Vincent… Charles Fowler, Jr., 72, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Smithfield, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in Saint Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born on October 15, 1934, in Uniontown, Pa., a son of the now late Charles Fowler, Sr. and Mary (Dice) Fowler.
Charles was a protestant by faith and worked as a sheet metal operator for Cleveland Range.
He is survived by two children: Shirley Noble and husband, Jim of Middlefield Cleveland, Ohio, and Charles Fowler, III of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother and sisters: Paul Fowler and Daisey Dillow, both of Smithfield, Pa., and Ida Newcomer of Uniontown, Pa., and Edna Dillow of Smithfield; a dear friend, Virginia; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and a sister, William and Ace Fowler and Pauline Layhue.
The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME, Smithfield, Pa., on Sunday, May 6, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until 11 a.m. when services will be conducted with the Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
