Bake sale planned The Central Fellowship Church, corner of Arch and Peach streets, will host a bargain and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
According to organizers, there will something for everyone. Organizers said the proceeds will benefit the Wesley Circle for Missions.
The public is invited to attend.
Performance set
The Greater Uniontown Chorale will present its annual spring performance at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Laurel Highlands Middle School.
The program will consist of two major works: “One Hundred Years of Broadway” and “Opening Night, A New Generation of Broadway,” both arranged by Mac Huff. The concert will present a historical outlook of all the years of Broadway music from Tin Pan Alley through the Rodgers and Hammerstein years to the present. The performance is under the direction of A. Warren Shirer and will be presented with the aid of the chorale’s new sound system, recently paid for with grant money.
Several chorale members will be featured soloists.
Laurel Highlands Middle School is located off Dixon Boulevard at Helen Street. No tickets are necessary. A freewill offering will be taken.
